Southwest Virginia Health Authority |
The Authority and its members shall receive and review applications for approval of proposed cooperative agreements submitted by two or more hospitals pursuant to § 15.2-5384.1, and provide recommendations to the Commissioner of Health regarding the approval of such applications. Representatives selected shall serve initial terms as determined by the board of directors.The Southwest Virginia Health Authority (SVHA) has a mission given by the Virginia General Assembly to improve quality of life in the region by enhancing, fostering and creating opportunities that advance health status and provide health-related economic benefits for people of all ages. Its stated vision is to achieve continuous improvement in the health and prosperity of the region. |
