How you register is up to you. Virginia offers online voter registration, registration by mail (by downloading and printing a voter registration form, filling it out, and mailing it to your local election office), and registration in person. If you prefer, you can even request an application be sent to you by mail by calling the office.
How to Register
You can register to vote using any of the following methods:
At your local voter registration office (our office), which can accommodate special needs
At public libraries, Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, and certain state/local offices such as the Department of Health (VDH), Department of Social Services (DSS), Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (DBHDS), Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (VDDHH), and the Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI)
Visit our office inside City Hall or use our convenient drive-thru to register to vote.

5/17/2021:
The deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration, for the June 8, 2021 Primary Election
10/12/2021
: The deadline to register to vote or update an existing registration for the November 2, 2021 General Election
