The Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA)- in conjunction with the City of Bristol, VA, along with support from the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission and Appalachian Regional Commission – is pleased to announce that the study to evaluate the economic impact of extending Amtrak intercity passenger rail service to Bristol was officially kicked off on February 21, 2018.
Now that the economic impact study has been kicked off, the team is actively working on collecting the information that will be used to conduct analyses and model future trends. The study is planned to be complete in August of 2018.
