[ARCHIVED] Notice of Public Hearing- HUD Community Development Block Grant

CDBG

A 2nd public hearing will be held in the Bristol Virginia City Council chambers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting to give citizens an opportunity to comment on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Action Plan for fiscal year 2018-2019. The City has received a CDBG entitlement allocation in the amount of $254,487 to benefit low- to moderate-income individuals. The City has also received HOME funding in the amount of $75,914.93, administered through the First Tennessee Development District on behalf of the Northeast Tennessee/Virginia HOME Consortium, to be used for low-income owner occupied housing rehab and first-time homebuyer assistance. Draft copies of the Annual Action Plan are available at the Bristol, VA Office of Community Development & Planning (CDP), 300 Lee Street and the Bristol Public Library, 701 Goode Street.


Citizens are asked to submit written or oral comments to the CDBG Coordinator prior to end of the public comment period. Any questions will be answered by calling 276-645-7473 or (TDD) 276-645-7289. If an interpreter or special accommodations are required, please contact the CDP Office at least 3 days prior to the hearing.
