Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 Historic District Preservation Awards for the City of Bristol, Virginia.
The purpose of the award program is to recognize and honor property owners and developers who engage in preservation projects within the city’s five historic districts: Euclid Avenue Historic District, Solar Hill Historic District, Virginia Hill Historic District, Bristol Warehouse Historic District, and Bristol Downtown Commercial Historic District.
“Restoration projects and long-term maintenance of properties in our historic districts encourage
community revitalization, preserving the rich history and charming landscape of our city” according to Catherine Brillhart, Committee Chair.
The 2019 award recipients will be recognized at a public ceremony on May 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, Virginia.
Nomination forms may be printed and sent in or submitted directly online from the City’s website at www.bristolva.org. The deadline for nominations, including self-nomination, is March 31, 2019.
Properties are selected based on exterior appearance only.
