The Governor’s Executive Order 59 has moved the May 5 local election to May 19th. 

THE DEADLINE TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL IS TUESDAY, May 12, 2020
Drive thru absentee voting in person is availableMonday - Friday and on Saturday, May 16from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  A photo ID is required.
The drive thru window is located on the Scott Street side of City Hall.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage all Bristol Voters to Stay Safe and Vote by Absentee Ballot.  Here are your options for obtaining an application or making your request:

  • If you have a Virginia issued DMV I.D., complete an absentee application online.
    Visit vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation.  Follow the prompts for requesting an absentee ballot.  
  • Or print, complete and sign a paper absentee application.  Return by fax at 276-645-7331, or by email:  vote@bristolva.org, or mail to: Office of Elections and Voter Registration,
    300 Lee Street, Bristol, VA  24201.  You are required to ensure the completed
    application reaches this office.
  • Or call and request an application be mailed to you at 276-645-7318.  Applications may also be obtained from the clear sleeve folder mounted outside of our office to the left of the drive thru window on the Scott Street side of the building or printed from link below.
  • Vote absentee via the drive thru window at City Hall
