Paul Conco has a background in both Food Service and Education. His first career led to being a chef and full partner in a catering business. After receiving his doctorate from the University of South Carolina he continued working in Higher Education as a professor of Business, then Dean and then President of several colleges. He came to Bristol, VA in 2001 to work at Virginia Highlands Community College as Vice President of Finance until 2010. He retired from the Virginia Community College System in 2015 and now serves on several Community Boards and volunteers with numerous non-profit organizations .
